Friday,
February 3, 2006 - ANSWER: Christmas season
showed that many people are listening to radio station
Yilwa, a local public low power FM station. Some of
the several cassette tapes of Bible stories, preaching
and gospel music provided by Southern Baptists are played
every Sunday morning about 9:30am. Praise God these
are allowed to be played and pray for the listeners
to hear and understand the 'Good News'.

a neighbor, Atta, a new believer who wants to learn
more about the Bible. Atta is trying to get a group

Bible study. Pray for him as he witnesses to his friends
and brothers and for Phil as he helps Atta grow in his
faith.

to struggle after many set backs over as many years.

about Christ.

Zerma prayer request included 3 believers at Wura-tondi
who wanted us to visit another village. We went to that
village called Sinsan. 24 names were written down who
were very interested and wanted to study further. Thank
you for praying and please pray for these 24 and others
who are witnessing to them that they would understand
and hold on to their new found faith.
Tuesday,
February 7, 2006 - February 7 - 22 Martha and

be experiencing many different sights, smells, tastes
and just experiences! Pray for safe arrival, for luggage
to arrive, and for a good experience. Pray for the people's
lives that will be touched, that Jesus will become real
to them.
Wednesday,
February 8, 2006 - Pray for Kimberly as she
continues home schooling this year and begins to make
decisions about what to do for the next school year.
Although she really enjoys teaching, she would like
to spend more time in ministry. There is a private Christian
school here, attended mostly by children of missionaries,
so that is one option. There are several pros and cons
for both options, so pray that God would give us wisdom
about the best course to take.
Thursday,
February 9, 2006 – More 'pepper project'
seed has been distributed and planted in the village
of Kaoura. Pray these plants grow as Moussa and villagers

the village as he leads in bringing more food and income
to his village...and that God will give the increase
in new believers!

have great patience with them and their language.

February 12, 2006 - Please pray for Moumouni
and a Muslim priest that Moumouni has been witnessing
to that lives in another village. Moumouni is an older

which all those around him CAN see very well.

International Mission Board will be emphasizing the
needs and ministry opportunities in West Africa. We've
organized a number of volunteer requests in anticipation
of this, and in the coming months will continue to submit
additional requests. Pray that God would lead volunteers
to fill these requests and join us in sharing the gospel
and planting churches among the Zerma people. For more
information visit the IMB Website at: http://going.imb.org/volunteer.asp

there have been many opportunities for the Jesus film
to be shown in Kollo this past month and for Kanesa
and Brandy to share with their Zerma neighbors.
Friday,
February, 17, 2006 – Pray for Amadou
and Hassi as they share Christ with the people of Goudel.
Pray that God would build his church there and that
it will be a light drawing many into relationship with
God and that it would multiply itself rapidly as they
set specific times for teaching and discipleship. Wednesday
nights is a teaching time with the teenagers and Friday
night the focus is prayer and worship.
Saturday,
February, 18, 2006 - Can you pray and walk,
hand sew or repair a sewing machine? Or, do you know
anyone that can? How about plant a fruit tree orchard?...teach
a drama/play? These are a few volunteer possibilities
for a week or two of ministry here among the Zerma people.
Would you pray that someone answers these requests?
More information can be found by writing us and looking
at the web site www.imb.org/going

and Brandy as they begin traveling to villages and ask
God to direct them to the villages He wants them to

Wednesday,
February 22, 2006 - Recently, a survey was
conducted in Niamey regarding the use of media materials.
One of the questions asked dealt with personal needs.
Many of the responses dealt with health and material
needs, but it was interesting to see that many indicated
a need or desire for "peace." Although many
of these probably meant an absence of war or open conflict,
it also seems to reflect an absence of peace in their
hearts regarding their eternal destiny and their relationship
with God. Pray that the Zerma would find true peace--the
kind that comes from knowing Jesus as their Lord and
Savior.
Thursday,
February 23, 2006 - Please pray for Kanesa's
friend ‘H’ that her heart will be softened
and that she will see the truth as she begins to listen
to stories and really be a good friend for Kanesa.
Friday,
February 24, 2006 - Pray for us, that we would
walk in a manner worthy of our calling--being salt and
light to the world around us. Pray that our light would
so shine that people see Jesus clearly in us.
Saturday,
February 25, 2006 – ANSWER: The Sustar’s
had a great vacation in the states during December.
Praise God for forming a new partnership between Glenview
Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas and the Zerma People.
Sunday,
February 26, 2006 - Pray that the Zerma will
hear the gospel today. Pray that we who have and know
the gospel would be bold in sharing with those who don't
yet believe. Pray that the churches that have been established
among the Zerma would multiply greatly this year.
Monday,
February 27, 2006 – ANSWER: Praise the
Lord for the childrens’ enthusiasm in presenting
a drama. During the month of December the kids in Ouallam
studied and presented the Christmas story for about
150 people. It was an awesome experience for them-and
all of them remembered the true story. Now we are making
requests for someone that knows what they are doing
to come and teach the story of Easter.
Tuesday,
February 28, 2006 - Please pray for Kanesa
and Brandy to have wisdom, mercy, and love for the people
of Kollo as they ask them for many physical needs and
have little interest in the Gospel at times. Pray for
Melissa Black - that the final stages of her pregnancy
goes well and the baby is born healthy.
