Sunday,
April 8, 2007 – Happy Easter! What an
incredible blessing it is that we can celebrate our
risen Savior! ANSWER: The Black’s
neighbor is a man named Baaba Zeeno, which means old
father. He has been a Muslim his entire life, but Melissa
recently gave him one of the Wa Seeda tapes-the Zerma
testimonial cassettes. After listening to the cassette,
he asked if Shad could come and talk to him. When Shad
arrived they greeted and then Baaba Zeeno asked, ‘Can
you tell me how to get to Heaven? I really want to go,
but I need to know how.’ Hoping to have this opportunity,
Shad had prepared to share the story of the rich, young
ruler and explain how having eternal life was more than
just obeying rules, something Muslims are very good
at, but it required following Jesus. After their conversation
the man asked for a Bible and asked if he could go to
Church with the Blacks the next Sunday. Shad was thrilled
this man desired to follow Jesus and was also pleased
with these first fruits of the Wa Seeda cassettes, but
Satan was not going to let go of this man easily. Saturday
afternoon and through the night Shad was sick and weak
to the point of not being able to stand. Knowing that
this was simply an attack of our adversary, many prayer
supporters were called upon to pray for Baaba Zeeno
and for Shad. Sunday morning, Shad was well enough to
go to church and take Baaba Zeeno with him. That morning,
this old, Muslim man stood, walked to the front of the
church, and gave his heart to Jesus. The next week,
Shad stopped by to study and ask about walking to church
the following Sunday. Baaba Zeeno replied, ‘I’m
not going with you. I won’t wait until 10 to leave.
Now that I know the road, I’m going as soon as
I wake up.’
