“Faithfulness springs forth from the earth, and
righteousness looks down from heaven. The Lord will
indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its
harvest.” Psalm 85:11-12
Sunday,
June 1, 2008 – Pray for Benjamin, a volunteer
from Mississippi. He will be in Ouallam working with
Don May 24 through June 11. Pray that many lives will
be touched, and that Benjamin will sense a real calling
of where and how the Lord wants to use him.
Monday,
June 2, 2008 - As of May, We (Bolls) have been
IMB missionaries for 25 years. We have prayed many years
for a strong leader. We praise the Lord for sending
Sina – a new Christian, already a strong leader
in the Church in Ouallam, and is already feeling the
Lord’s call to be a pastor. Praise the Lord for
being faithful – He has sent even more than we
ever dreamed for in Sina. Pray for Sina as he continues
to grow, learn and share. He is very excited to go with
Don and Teresa to various villages – teaching
and ministering as he goes.
Tuesday,
June 3, 2008 - In May Abdou Waahib was born.
Nine days later his mother died. Pray for Safi as she
cares for him and for Teresa as she tries to minister
to them. Also pray for the many births that happen in
the villages, pray for the midwives that have to deal
with dirty conditions, births at night, no medical training,
etc.
Wednesday,
June 4, 2008 – ANSWER: Praise the Lord;
Chronological Picture Books for the Old and New Testament
are complete through Acts. Pray for the Christians in
the villages to be able to use these stories and make
applications to every day living. Pray for the Bolls
as they will be teaching these concepts this month.
Thursday,
June 5, 2008 - In May there were many from
the Ouallam area that attended a conference in Niamey
concerning HIV/AIDS. This conference was provided by
World Vision and was to train Religious leaders –
teaching Muslims and Christians that we must work together
in HIV/AIDS awareness and ministry for those that are
suffering from this terrible disease. Pray for the classes
as they begin in several areas. Ask God to change their
worldview so that this disease will cease to spread.
Friday,
June 6, 2008 - The Marriage of Sina and Ramatou
will hopefully be complete in early June. Pray for this

in their church, their community and surrounding villages.
Saturday,
June 7, 2008 - ANSWER: Praise the Lord for
a new believer in one of the village where the Hands-On-Missionaries

she chose to follow Christ in May. We also praise God
for Kelsi’s perseverance in the midst of heat,
personal illnesses and other frustrations.
Sunday,
June 8, 2008 - June marks the beginning of
the farming season in Niger. Pray for early rains this
year so the farmers can plant soon and perhaps have
an early harvest. Pray that the Zerma will have strength
and stamina as they spend long hours in their fields.
Monday,
June 9, 2008 - Several weeks ago a girl named
“O” was injured by a grinding machine in
town that grinds corn or millet. We were able to help
the family in different ways, and visit with them. She
was taken to the hospital in the capital several times,
but she died this week. Her death has been really difficult
for Brittany and Kelsi. Ask God to use this death to
open the hearts of the family to the Gospel. Ask God
to comfort the family as well as Brittany and Kelsi.
Pray the love that has been shown to them would make
them would draw them to God.

team coming from First Baptist Church, Canyon, Texas.

are ready to follow him, that need encouragement or
that just need a friend.
Wednesday,
June 11, 2008 - Pray that God would build up
Zally’s confidence in Him to make a stand and
be a bold witness for Him. Pray that God would give
this gentle and meek woman a fire that radiates. Ask
God to use her to reach her neighborhood, starting with
her own family.
Thursday,
June 12, 2008 - Rains should be beginning this
month. Many have been in their fields preparing for
planting. Many families will move to their “Ziggies”
(country homes). Pray for a harvest and for health as
many will be living far from water ~ thus seeking pond
water to drink, malaria will be rampant, as well as
amoebas, working in the heat, etc.
Friday,
June 13, 2008 – ANSWER: Sani, the 6 year
old son of Medina and Harouna was able to receive some
medicine that relieved some of the water build up on
his brain. Harouna shared with the Bolls that he is
now sitting up alone and eating alone now that his head
is not so large. Please continue to pray for them.
Saturday,
June 14, 2008 - Fatiya also a child of Medina
and Harouna, is 3 and apparently has epilepsy. Please
pray for this family as they have many demands and few
resources – and live in one of the farther villages
North of Ouallam. They are the only Christians in their
village. Pray for them as many are thinking that they
are being punished for following another path.
Sunday,
June 15, 2008 - Albass has been suffering for
many months from an illness that can only be treated
in Niamey. The doctors here think it is epilepsy and
apparently there is no one in his family that can take
him to Niamey to receive the treatment he needs. Ask
God to completely heal him or to provide a way for him
to receive the treatment he needs.
Monday,
June 16, 2008 - The Bolls are planning a conference
this month for Village Storying. This conference should
hopefully take Storying one step further – to
evangelization and discipleship. Pray for the Bolls
to be able to go to the villages of the new Christians
and help train them.
Tuesday,
June 17, 2008 - Pray for the Cains as we make
preparations to return to Niger and say goodbye to family
once again. This has been a very good year of stateside
assignment and they rejoice at the many opportunities
they have had to share about the Zerma people. Pray
that they’ll have a quick adjustment back to the
hot climate of Niger as we leave the cool Pacific Northwest.
Wednesday,
June 18, 2008 – Pray for Lily as she
prepares to take her school exams today. She has been
studying very hard and she wants to do well so she can
go to university.
Thursday,
June 19, 2008 – Pray for Kristy, Natalie,
Gretchann, and Betsy as they will be ministering to
the Zerma, throughout the summer with Kanesa and Brandy

and the right words at the right time to share with
the people God brings into their paths.
Friday,
June 20, 2008 - Ask God to give Brandy wisdom
as she seeks guidance in teaching Christian men and
women to read so that when she is gone they can read
the Bible for themselves. Ask God to make every moment
count for His glory.
Saturday,
June 21, 2008 - Don has been working on a Cooperative
in several villages. This will enable the people to
begin filling their grain bins – then when the
harvest comes in they will be able to completely fill
the bins so they will have food to eat during the famine
times. Pray for honest managers for the Cooperatives
that have the people’s best interest in mind instead
of personal gain. Ask God to bless their labor and give
them an abundant harvest.
Sunday,
June 22, 2008 – ANSWER: It is so exciting
to be here and see God working through the lives of
so many – those willing to go out and share the
Gospel to the point others are accepting Christ and
being baptized. Thank you so much for allowing us (Bolls)
to remain in this area to see harvest from seeds planted…
Monday,
June 23, 2008 - Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians
4:4 that the god of this world has blinded the minds
of unbelievers. Pray that the God of all creation would
break through that blindness and expose the minds of
the Zerma to the truth of the Gospel.
Tuesday,
June 24, 2008 – ANSWER: Thanks for praying
for Caroline and the situation with her back. Many of
you know that she was diagnosed with scoliosis and has
had to wear a back brace since 2005. Her doctor informed
us during our last visit that the way things are progressing,
surgery will likely not be necessary. She will still
need to wear the brace for the next year or so but this
was of course, great news to us. Caroline would appreciate
your continued prayers as wearing an uncomfortable brace
in 100+ temperatures leaves much to be desired.
Wednesday,
June 25, 2008 – Pray for the Goudel Church
to continue to increase in number. Ask God to give Pastor
“Amad” wisdom in leading the church. Praise
God that his wife “Has” gave birth to a
healthy girl on May 8. Mom and baby are doing great.
Thursday,
June 26, 2008 - Continue to pray for Harry,
Manny, and Adam as they grow in Christ and begin to
win their friends. Pray for perseverance and a thirst
for the Word. Pray for Shad’s time with them this
month, as Shad will be trying to equip them to be able
to flourish even after we leave.
Friday,
June 27, 2008 - Pray for the well projects
as they near completion. Pray the village people will
put to good use the skills they have learned. Pray that
the care that Shad has shown them will draw them to
the Savior.
Saturday,
June 28, 2008 - Pray the Word of God might
live forever in the hearts of the Zerma People and the
He would not allow the enemy to steal the seed before
it is able to grow up and bear much fruit.
Sunday,
June 29, 2008 – Pray for the women that
Cindy and “Has.” are discipling. Ask God
to mature them through his word and give understanding
and insight.
Monday,
June 30, 2008 – Pray for Fati’s
younger brother who was recently diagnosed with tuberculosis.
Ask God to open his heart as Ben and Cindy share the
Hope of the Gospel with him.
