May 1, 2008 – ANSWER: Praise the Lord
all the television stations in Niger showed the Easter
Story in its entirety. Many lives were touched –
pray that many more will be.
Friday,
May 2, 2008 – Pray for a Christian “wife”
whose “husband” is forcing her to “pray,
fast, sacrifice” etc in the Muslim way. Pray for
wisdom as Teresa tries to minister and help disciple
her in her “Christian ways.”
Saturday,
May 3, 2008 – Pray for Christians here
as they are pressured to continue to follow Muslim practices.
Pray for those that feel they need to put their faith
in what they “wear” instead of “who”
is in their heart.
Sunday,
May 4, 2008 – Pray for “Has”
this month as she delivers her 4th child. Pray for the
delivery of a health baby and for “Has”
to be health and her energy restored.
Monday,
May 5, 2008 - The story of Easter offered many
opportunities to share the gospel in various villages
in and around the Ouallam area. Pray that they would
not just hear about Christ, but experience what Christ
did for each of us.
Tuesday,
May 6, 2008 - Pray for Brandy to have wisdom
as she continues investing in “Lily,” a
new believer. Pray that God’s Spirit would teach
her as well. Pray the same for “Zally” as
she has returned after being gone for several weeks.
She still desires to study God’s Word and it is
exciting.
Wednesday,
May 7, 2008 - ANSWER: Over the Easter weekend
many new Christians were baptized. Pray that they will
continue to follow Jesus and that their strength will
be made strong during trials.
Thursday,
May 8, 2008 - Pray for Kimberly and Caroline
as they will both be speaking at a Mother and Daughter
missions banquet at First Baptist church in Enumclaw,
Washington. Pray that God would use this opportunity
to call out prayer supporters and volunteers for the
Zerma.
Friday,
May 9, 2008 - It is HOT! Pray for us to have
the energy and urgency to continue to get out in the
115+ heat and minister to those who are also suffering
from the heat.

May 10, 2008 - ANSWER: Praise God for Ramatou’s
mom in Ouallam. She is well on the way to full recovery.

May 11, 2008 – Pray for Brandy as she
in Cambodia until the 16th visiting a close friend.
Ask God to truly bless her time there and give her and
her friend clear direction for the future.

May 12, 2008 – Today is Stephanie Ledlow’s
birthday. Pray that she will continue to be a bold witness
for Christ at college. Pray also for her upcoming wedding
in June.

May 13, 2008 – Pray for Harry and Adam
to have the courage to live out the truth that they
are learning.
Wednesday,
May 14, 2008 – Pray for the well drilling
project, that it would progress according to God’s
perfect plan.
Thursday,
May 15, 2008 – Pray for the women believers
of K-town, that they would grow stronger in their faith
and would be bold in sharing Christ with others.
Friday,
May 16, 2008 – Caleb Cain celebrates
his 9th birthday today. Praise God for his good adjustment
to public school and for making friends while we are
on stateside assignment. He is a bold witness for Christ
with his friends and classmates. Philippians 2:12-13
says, “Continue to work out your salvation with
fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to
will and to act according to his good purpose.”
Pray for Caleb as he continues to grow in his faith
and witness.

May 17, 2008 - ANSWER: There is now a second
generation believer in K-town. “Adam, who is nine
months old in the Lord, led his friend to Christ at
Shad’s house. “Adam” prayed that his
new brother in Christ would take hold of Jesus with
two hands and never let go and he asked God to make
him stronger. Will you ask God to continue to put a
passion in the hearts of believers to share their faith
with their family, friends, and anyone God leads them
to? Will you pray for “Adam’s” friend
to truly take Jesus with both hands and never let Him
go?

May 18, 2008 – Pray for the Blacks as
they seek to fulfill all that God has planned for them
to do and that they would ‘redeem the time.’
They complete their service here in Niger on August
1, and return to the states.

May 19, 2008 – Today Christin turns 8.
We praise God for her gentle spirit. Pray that she will
continue to discover her strengths and talents and that
she will be content with whom God created her to be.
Tuesday,
May 20, 2008 – Kelsi, Brittany, Lindsay
and Emily, the Hands-On Missionaries continue to share
in their villages. Pray for wisdom for them and for
them to grow in their relationship with Christ as they
are making Him known. They wrap things up on the 25th
of this month and return to the states.

May 21, 2008 – Lift up “A”
the newest believer in K-town and ask that he will really
grow in the Lord and share with those around him.
Thursday,
May 22, 2008 – Lift up “Una”
and her husband, ask that he would come to know the
God and even desire to move back to Niger to be with
her and the baby. Ask God to give her a heart for prayer.
Friday,
May 23, 2008 – Ask God to give Brandy
and Kanesa sweet time in His Word, in prayer and good
time management skill as they balance many different
things. Pray also for unity among them.
Saturday,
May 24, 2008 - Pray for a young woman in village
“S” who is the girlfriend of one of our
“brothers.” She was at the grinding machine,
having her corn or rice ground when her head wrap got
caught in the machine and pulled her down. It severely
cut her neck. She went to the hospital in Niamey, but
has since been released. We do not know how she is really
doing. They will only tell us that she is a little better
and she thanks God. That is a way of saying she is not
better and really not doing well.

May 25, 2008 – Pray for Phil and Kimberly
as they continue to share about the Zerma people and
missions opportunities with churches in Washington and
Oregon.
Monday,
May 26, 2008 – Kanesa and Brandy returned
to some of their villages to share. Oh that God’s
Word might be hidden in their hearts. Ask God to fulfill
His promise of not letting His Word return void but
of making it accomplish the purpose for which He sent
it. Ask Jesus to make the hearts of women and children
hungry to know His precious truth. Pray for children
like Rachel and Bobby and Susan and Jane to know the
Jesus of the Gospel who loves them and has died that
they might live. Pray for women like Sadie and Ramona
and Amy to know the Jesus of the Gospel who loves them
and died that they too might live!

May 27, 2008 – Pray that God continues
to open the doors for religious discussions –
many are seeking, pray for us to be faithful.
Wednesday,
May 28, 2008 – ANSWER: Thank you for
praying for the Cains’ trip to Georgia in March.
It was a wonderful time of sharing at an On Mission
Conference and a great time of fellowship with several
volunteers who have come to Niger. We are excited and
encouraged in the wonderful partnership between the
Zerma and First Baptist Church, Sandersville, Georgia.

May 29, 2008 - Pray for those farmers who are
out in their fields preparing the soil for what they
hope to be a good harvest this year. Many have not had
a good harvest for several years.
Friday,
May 30, 2008 - Pray for “Fa” to
have a burning desire to begin again to study God’s
Word and boldness to share His Word with her friends
and family. Ask God to free her from fear that currently
rules her life and affects all her decisions.
Saturday,
May 31, 2008 - Ask God to give Ben clear direction
as he seeks to deepen existing friendships and to open
opportunities for him to share the Gospel. Ask God to
give him wisdom as he counsels numerous men in seeking
employment that will support their families.
