the three years the Black family shared Jesus and made

September 2, 2008 - Pray that we would be bold
in sharing our faith and that our knowledge of the scriptures
would increase daily. R.P.G. Acts 1 – pray for
unified believers.
Wednesday,
September 3, 2008 - Pray for a team of twelve
volunteers coming from the Tar River Baptist Association
in North Carolina. They will leave today and return
on September 13th. Pray for their health and safety
as they travel and for God’s blessing on their
ministry. They will be prayer walking and sharing their
faith in a variety of ways in several different villages.
Pray that God would use them to bring many Zerma to

September 4, 2008 - Pray that God would bind
the evil one and the demons from Niger. Pray that God
would make them ineffective in their evil plans. R.P.G.:

September 5, 2008 – ANSWER: Thank you
for praying for Dean, Teresa’s Mom. She has had
more complications, another surgery and time in the
hospital. R.P.G.: Acts 4 – pray for our time with
Jesus and in the Word.

September 6, 2008 - Pray for Kimberly as she
restarts Kid’s Clubs. Pray the seeds of the Gospel
that were planted last year will remain and that many
of these kids would soon be ready to make a decision
to follow Christ. Pray that we would have opportunities
to share the gospel with their families as well. R.P.G.:

September 7, 2008 - Pray for the Bolls as they
continue to do “follow-up” visits for the
93 different locations of the latrines. Pray for softened
hearts, ready to accept Christ among those that have
heard the Gospel and health lessons. R.P.G.: Acts 5
– pray the Zerma will consider it worthy to suffer
for Jesus.
Monday,
September 8, 2008 - Since Lily passed her graduation
exams, she has moved to Niamey until she can start school.
She has been struggling with loneliness but it has caused
her to turn to God's Word. Praise God that she is turning
to Him and that she is hiding God's Word in her heart.
Pray that this season of loneliness will grow her dependency
upon Christ and she would come to know that He is enough
for her. R.P.G.: Acts 22 - pray for clarity in sharing
personal testimonies.

September 9, 2008 - As volunteers prepare to
come to Niger, many decisions must be made. Pray for
wise choices in ministry with the Zerma and many mundane
items such as visas, shots, travel all work together
for the task of sharing the Good News of Christ. R.P.G.:

Wednesday,
September 10, 2008 - Join with us today in
giving thanks for our Zerma brothers and sisters in
Christ. Many of them have suffered for their decision
to become a follower of Jesus, pray that they would
be faithful witnesses to the truth of the scriptures
and that churches with godly leadership would be multiplied
among the Zerma people. R.P.G.: Acts 7 – pray
for scripture-centered ministry.
Thursday,
September 11, 2008 - Pray for the many that
are still in their villages and Ziggy’s (Temporary
country homes). Pray for safety and health and a sense
of accomplishment for the many months that they lived
in this hardship of work and loneliness while trying
to reap of harvest. R.P.G.: Acts 8 – pray for
the scattering of the Zerma people to share the Good
News.

September 12, 2008 - The Zerma team has a new
request for a couple or two singles to serve with us
in a two-year assignment doing evangelism, discipleship,
and church planting. Ask God if you are the one to fill
this assignment.

September 13, 2008 - Praise the Lord for the
strength and wisdom that He has given to Ramatou. She
has shown great maturity when her husband disappeared
on their wedding day and still has not communicated
with her about their relationship. R.P.G.: Acts 20 –
pray for genuine love among believers.

September 14, 2008 - Pray that the rains would
continue for yet another month. This will most likely
be the last rains for this year. Pray that there will
be sufficient rain for the crops to mature and the people
will have enough to eat. R.P.G.: Acts 24 – pray
for a strong witness before authorities.

September 15, 2008 - ANSWER: “A’s”
bean plants are growing well and should produce a great
harvest. Also the rainy season has been good in K-town
and the millet and corn look great. R.P.G.: Acts 23
- pray for protection against violence.
Tuesday,
September 16, 2008 - Some on the Zerma team
as well as their immediate family have been sick. This
can be a ‘distraction’ as well as sometimes
a blessing in ministry with the Zerma people. The distraction
is obvious but the blessings can come in a different
form such as common suffering with fellow believers
and non believers resulting in a powerful witness. Ask
God to give us grateful hearts in times of sickness
and good health. R.P.G.: Acts 27 – pray for protection.

September 17, 2008 - Continue to pray for our
team as we seek to address both the spiritual and physical
needs of the Zerma. Pray that God would show us some
ways we can make long-term differences in helping the
Zerma to find ways to improve their standard of living.

September 18, 2008 - Pray for wisdom as James
Brown will be coming to Niger soon. Pray as he and Don
evaluate and make decisions concerning the Pepper Project.

September 19, 2008 – Today is Jeanie
Foster’s birthday. Jeanie is our Stateside Prayer
Advocate and a vital member of the Zerma team. Ask God
to give her wisdom, strength and encouragement as she

of zealous believers.
Saturday,
September 20, 2008 – Pray for the spiritual
oppression that has been strong in K-town. Ask God to
pour out His Spirit and rise up a mighty army of Niger
believers. Pray that Kanesa and Brandy would be strong
and aware of the enemy's schemes. R.P.G.: Acts 10 –
ask God to send visions and dreams to the Zerma, calling
them to Himself.
Sunday,
September 21, 2008 – Pray for Zally in
K-town who professed Christ over a year ago. We recently
learned that she struggles with demonic activity. She
seems sincere in the faith, but we cannot know her heart.
Pray that God would set her completely free from all
demonic strongholds and if she has not truly surrendered
her life to Him, that she would do so. May she know
the freedom that Christ gives. R.P.G.: Acts 28 –
pray for zealous spiritual discussions.
Monday,
September 22, 2008 – Pray for Buddy,
Brandy and Kanesa’s guard. He has seen and heard
the truth for several years but has yet to accept Jesus
as his savior. Ask that He would believe with all his
heart. R.P.G.: Acts 13 – pray for a calling out
of bold witnesses.
Tuesday,
September 23, 2008 – ANSWER: Praise God
for a great time of fellowship and worship with our
colleagues throughout West Africa, at the end of July
in the Ivory Coast. R.P.G. Acts 21 – pray for
team unity.

September 24, 2008 – Pray for Kanesa’s
allergies and ask God to free her from them. September
is millet harvest season and she is highly allergic
to millet. Ask God to put a hedge of protection around
her and protect her from a serious attack. R.P.G.: Acts
14 – pray for rest after persecution.
Thursday,
September 25, 2008 – Pray for the Sustar
Family as they leave Niger for stateside assignment.
Ask God to give them smooth travel and good health and
for the girls to adjust well to life in the states.

Great Commission as the Sustars speak at churches in
the states.

September 26, 2008 – Pray for the church
in Goudel. Ask God to strengthen each of the members
so they continue to share their faith boldly. Ask God

for powerful prayer groups.

September 27, 2008 – Ask God to give
us His plan and vision for reaching the youth of Niamey.
There is little educational or employment opportunities
available to them and many of them spend their time
just sitting around or going to bars and nightclubs.

September 28, 2008 – Pray for “Ami’s”
husband. Ask God to soften his heart and draw him into
a relationship with him. Pray also for her son Momid,
who is 3 years old. He has been tormented by bad dreams

September 29, 2008 – Pray for the Zerma
pastors asking God to continue to give them strong character
and integrity as they witness and disciple. R.P.G. Acts
15 – pray for unified theology among the pastors.
Tuesday,
September 30, 2008 – ANSWER: Praise God
for the understanding He is giving to believers. Adam
has asked us to pray with him for God to rise up someone
among them that can lead them when we are no longer
here to teach them. Getting the Zerma to look toward
the future can be a difficult task, but God is helping
them to see. R.P.G.: Acts 19 – pray for good Spiritual
Teaching.
