Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Proverbs 4:25 NIV

Saturday - Praise God for the 4 people that made the decision to plunge into the dirty waters of the Niger River Easter Sunday as they were baptized. Pray for them to embrace their life in Christ wholehearted and to share boldly.

Sunday - Pray for the group of men that Ben meets with weekly to share the Good News of God’s Word. Ask God to open their hearts to His message and to realize their need for him.

Monday – Instead of celebrating their 25th Anniversary of being in Niger, the Bolls went for medical care to Dakar, Senegal. Although it was urgent care for Don; Teresa was able to go with him and have some check-ups. After a few visits with doctors, Don is OK and Teresa is doing much better. Thank you for praying for our health – and just for us daily. We never know what tomorrow may bring, but we know He who holds us.

Tuesday – Pray for Mark Ledlow as well as other Logistic Coordinators as they travel for meetings in South Africa. Pray for the many changes that Mark and Deanna are learning and working through for us.

Wednesday – Missionaries juggle between ministry and families - It is very difficult for the missionary to make time for family as they feel the pressure of the ministry and needs around him/her. We have been fortunate in that we have had some Spiritual retreats, meetings, conferences, etc. that help us to put things in perspective. Continue to pray for us to be diligent in our time with the Lord, daily.

Thursday – Praise the Lord for the jobs He has given to Brandy and Kanesa where they are able to share Christ's hope with their co-workers as well as see His provision for all of their needs. Pray that as they still struggle with reverse culture shock and other difficult things, that God would sustain them and help them to cope with it all.

Friday – A “tube well” has been planned for the garden of a new believer and will hopefully be done this month. Pray the well will provide good long term water for his garden as well as an ongoing witness for the village. Also pray no one is hurt while putting in the well.

Saturday – Kanesa and Brandy have been back in the US for five months and are still seeking out what the next step in God's plan is for their lives. Ask that God would give direction to each of them and freedom to follow Him wherever He may lead. Ask that they would trust Him even when the road is unclear.

Sunday – Please continue to lift up Lily who had to return from Bama to Niger for medical treatment. She felt better soon after arriving back in Niger but when she returned to Bama for school began to feel sick almost immediately. Ask that if she is fighting a spiritual battle that is causing this sickness that she would realize it for what it is and stand firm against the attacks. Ask that God would help her to work through the grief and pain she has experienced and be able to release it to Him. Ask God to make her hungry for His Word and for prayer.

Monday – Pray for the many that are working to pave a new road from Niamey to Ouallam and for work to be finished in a timely manner. When seasonal rains begin the detours will make travel and work difficult. Pray for travel during this time.

Tuesday – In April we held a two-day storying conference for believers in Niamey. They were taught 6 Bible stories and can retell them from memory and simple Bible study questions that can be done with people who can’t read. Pray for these believers to boldly share these stories from God’s Word because we know His word does not return void.

Wednesday – Harry, the fridge repair man in K-town, was in a serious accident with his wife last month. He was on his motorcycle when he ran into a big truck and broke his leg. After lying in the national hospital for three weeks, he had the surgery he needed and is on the road to recovery.

Thursday – During Harry’s time in the hospital Kanesa and Brandy spoke with him on the phone several times and told them they would be praying for him and asking that Jesus appear to him in dreams and visions. When they talked to him the following week, they asked if Jesus had come to him. He said, "Yes, every night." Harry has heard the story from beginning to end and has admitted its truth.

Friday – Harry from K-town has yet to place his faith in the One who can save him. Other believers in K-town and the capital went to see him while he was in the hospital and were able to pray over him. Ask for God to continue to pursue Harry and his family and that they would be willing to forsake everything for the sake of the call of Christ on their lives. Praise God that Harry's surgery went well and that God directed the surgeon's hands. Ask for complete healing and restoration.

Saturday – Don has been having Bible Study with several men in Nazey for some time now. The women are asking if Teresa could come and teach them. Pray that the Bolls will be able to go out and do some teaching and training before the rains begin. After the rains begin it may be several months before they are able to go back – pray that the Holy Spirit will make all things clear.

Sunday – Caleb Cain is celebrating his 11th birthday today. He brings much joy into our lives. Pray that God will continue to grow him into the man God wants him to be.

Monday – Adamou’s wife has requested that Teresa come to help her to understand more of the Bible. She has already “began to follow the road” but would like to study and learn more. Praise the Lord for her and pray that Teresa will be able to explain as the Lord leads.

Tuesday – Thank you for praying for the Welcome Clubs for the Zerma children. There is such a sweet spirit among the children in the groups. Each group has its own personality with one especially enjoying singing, another that loves coloring pictures of the Bible story, and another that enjoys acting the Bible story out.

Wednesday – Today is Christin Sustar’s 10th birthday. Pray that she will allow God to guide her daily decisions and stand strong in her walk with Him.

Thursday – Pray that God would give Zerma believers a vision for multiplying disciples and building His church throughout Niger. Also, pray for the government of Niger that God would give them the ability to make wise decisions. Pray that those in positions of influence would come to know the Savior.

Friday – Thank you for praying for Ami and her family in Feb. when her 3 year old daughter died. Please continue to pray for this family to daily experience God’s peace and comfort. Pray for baby Ibrahim who has had lots of medical issues in his 4 short months of life. Ask God to heal him and to give Ami peace of mind.

Saturday – Hot season is in full swing and is taking a toll on our energy and stamina. Pray for our energy to be sustained and for encouragement and refreshment during this month before rainy season arrives.

Sunday – Ask God to give Pastor Amadou and his family strength and energy during this hot season when the day to day task can drain you of every ounce of energy and patience. Ask God to give Pastor Amadou wisdom in leading the Goudel church.

Monday – Thank you for your prayers guarding us against skin irritations and infections. The team members dealing with this are doing much better!

Tuesday – The Jesus video was shown to 3 new believers April 6. There were also many others that saw part of the video. Pray God’s spirit to convict hearts in a way only He can do.

Wednesday – Pray that God would rise up pastors and other leaders from among Zerma believers. Pray that these leaders would find support, both financially and spiritually. Pray that God would mold them into men and women of integrity and vision.
Thursday – May is the last month of school for Rachel, Christin & Karis before summer break. Thank you for praying for them this year. Their year has held quite an array of emotions and they are ready for a break.

Friday – Pray that God would lead us to those with receptive hearts and give us the ability to communicate clearly the Good News of salvation through Jesus

Saturday – Pray for the volunteers coming this summer. Pray that God would prepare their hearts and minds to serve Him among the people of Niger.

Sunday – Pray that God would reveal himself to the lost among the Zerma who are seeking Him. Pray that our Muslim friends would seek the truth and find it in Jesus Christ.

Monday - Rains should begin in a few weeks. A lot of things have to happen in such a short time in the preparation and planting of fields. For a long time now men have been out preparing the fields, cultivating and hauling fertilizer. Pray for seed that has been provided them which will be planted and should mature quickly. Pray that they will have rains and food this year.

Thank you for joining with us through your prayers,
The Zerma Team
