in me.” John 14:1
Tuesday,
March 1, 2011 – Several hundred
Zerma students heard the Gospel in February as a result of the
HOPE sponsored
latrine project. Pray that they all ponder what they heard and
that God would convict their hearts to accept the truth.
Wednesday,
March 2, 2011 – Pray for us as
we plan our ministry/strategy budgets for 2012. Pray that God
would give us vision and discernment
in how best to use our resources. Pray that we would be good stewards
of the funds and resources we use.
Thursday,
March 3, 2011 – The first couple of weeks in March
will be difficult for the Bolls as they say good-bye to some very
close friends. The Zerma team will be hosting a "farewell" for
them on the 4th of March. Pray for the Bolls as they continue to
prepare to leave, Niger where they have spent 29 years in ministry.
Friday,
March 4, 2011 – Today is Ben Sustar’s
birthday. Ask God to give him wisdom, discernment and many open
doors to
share the Gospel.
Saturday,
March 5, 2011 – Pray that Kimberly will find someone
to help her with the Kid’s Clubs.
Sunday,
March 6, 2011 – Continue to pray
for the churches in Niger to be a light in their communities,
a place where the
word of God is taught and known, and where people are known by
their love for God and their love for each other. Pray that they
would be places of refuge and rest for the persecuted and weary.
Monday,
March 7, 2011 – Ask the Lord to continue
to give a young pastor courage and vision to lead this young
church in
Goudel, to multiply in this city the way that God already has planned.
Ask the Lord to increase his understanding of what is needed to
engage this city as communities or as unique groupings of people
from multiple communities.
Tuesday,
March 8, 2011 – Today is Mark Ledlow’s
birthday. Ask God use him to help the Church in Bonjidi grow
in number and
in strength. Ask God to give them a spiritual hunger for his Word.
Wednesday,
March 9, 2011 – Ask God to give
us wisdom and discernment as we are continually bombarded with
requests for financial
assistance from our friends, neighbors, and complete strangers.
Pray that God would give us wisdom and discernment in knowing how
to respond to these requests. Pray for those who are truly in need,
especially widows and orphans, that their needs would be met.
Thursday,
March 10, 2011 – Pray that our
churches would grow, both spiritually and in number. Pray that
they would seek
to honor and glorify God in their worship, preaching, and all that
they do.
Friday,
March 11, 2011 – March 11th the Bolls
leave Niger for their final stateside assignment. Please pray for safe travel, a time of beginnings and endings
as they will be staying a short time in France. They are hoping
to locate some Zerma people, visit their former French language
tutor as well as homes, places and see if they remember any French!
Saturday,
March 12, 2011 – Teresa Bolls'
Mother, Dean Cameron, died January 21st. Thank you for your prayers
for the past 5 years
as she dealt with various health complications. Please pray for
Teresa and her family as they get together at the end of this month.
Also, pray for the Zerma people that Teresa shared with about her
Mother's death. Pray they come to know and understand true love
and assurance found only in Christ
Sunday,
March 13, 2011 – The Ouallam outreach
point that was at one time a church still struggles to meet with
a few believers.
Only one is baptized. Pray for wisdom and strength only God can
provide as they continue to be the group that God wants them to
be.
Monday,
March 14, 2011 – Pray that God’s
word would go forth with power today among the Zerma people.
Pray that believers
would be strengthened in their faith, that seekers would find the
truth and the light, and that the lost would be convicted of their
sin and their need for a Savior.
Tuesday,
March 15, 2011 – Pray for Phil as
he travels to Burkina Faso for meetings with our area leadership.
Pray for our
leadership as they lead and encourage others in their ministry.
Pray that God would direct us and give us wisdom as we seek to
reach the Zerma people with the Gospel.
Wednesday,
March 16, 2011 – Today is Phil
Cain's birthday. Pray for him as he leads the Zerma team and
his family. Pray for
the groups of men that he meets with every week and for encouragement
by seeing strong, faithful leaders develop among the Zerma people.
Thursday,
March 17, 2011 – Young men in groups called FADA’s
in the city continue gathering daily to share life together. Ask
the Lord to give Ben clear understanding in connecting with young
men from 3 of these groups because they are asking questions about
what faith in Jesus includes for them.
Friday,
March 18, 2011 – Pray for Stacey
as she leaves Niger today. We are thankful for her and her nine
month commitment to
the Zerma People. We are thankful for all that she accomplished
while she was here. Pray for her adjustment back to the states
and that all the seeds that were planted among the Zerma people
would bear much fruit.
Saturday,
March 19, 2011 – Continue to pray about the kids
whose father will not let them come to Kid’s Club and pray
that the Bible stories Kimberly shares with them will change their
lives.
Sunday,
March 20, 2011 – Pray for Stacey
and her husband Michael as they seek God for the next chapter
in their lives.
Monday,
March 21, 2011 – Pray for the family of baby "M" and
for their salvation. Kimberly and Stacey have visited them many
times. Baby "M' was very sick and malnourished, but is doing
much better now. Pray that they will recognize Jesus as their healer
and deliverer. We are grateful for their openness to prayers for
him in Jesus' name.
Tuesday,
March 22, 2011 – Continue praying
for the women that Stacey and Kimberly visit every Tuesday and
Friday.
Wednesday,
March 23, 2011 – Not only did the Jardin d'enfant
(Headstart type school) receive a latrine, but they also got a
door that locks on the latrine, a gate to close the compound to
help keep others out of their learning situation. They also received
learning and activity resources. "Thank you" and "May
God Bless You for your help" are statements of gratitude,
from all the students, teachers and the villages.
Thursday,
March 24, 2011 – Thank God for
7 men who are gathering with Ben in K-town to look at what the
scriptures say about work,
integrity, and the purpose of business. Ask the Lord to etch what
is discovered in the scriptures in our minds so that as we work
in this city in businesses of different types, others will influenced
by our choices and choose to follow Jesus through these relationships
of business.
Friday,
March 25, 2011 – Pray for Cindy as
she continues to discover unique qualities of her grade 5/6 students
that will
allow her to teach them new concepts in ways that each one masters
them in the classroom.
Saturday,
March 26, 2011 – Taken from Jeremiah 29:7, pray
this for our city of Niamey – “Also, seek the peace
and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile.
Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” Agree
with us together that God is moving us to see this capital city
become one where His name is revered and those who come here see
that hope can be found here in Him.
Sunday,
March 27, 2011 – The Zerma team has
worked together forming a close relationship and separation can
be as from family.
Pray for the Bolls, Sustars, Cains and Ledlows as the Bolls leave
the field; pray that the rest of the team will be able to continue
to encourage each other and fellow believers especially in Ouallam
and surrounding areas.
Monday,
March 28, 2011 – It was good to see
Albass return from a bush village for a visit. He played the
drum at church almost
like he had never been away. As Albass grows into manhood pray
he keeps in mind all God has shown and taught him the last several
years and be strong among few believers.
Tuesday,
March 29, 2011 – Pray for teachers
will to come and teach at Sahel Academy for the 2011-2012 school
year. Ask God
to send Godly teachers who have a desire to invest in the lives
of students. Those interested can contact Amber Marshall at serve@sahelacademy.com
or find information at www.sahelacademy.com. Most of the Southern
Baptist children attend this school. When there are not enough
teachers the moms usually homeschool, so the school is a huge asset
to our ministry.
Wednesday,
March 30, 2011 – March usually marks a definite
transition in the weather, namely a definite rise in temperature
to the 100's by end of the month. Pray for Zerma people’s
health as they seem to live in constant weather extremes of very
cool, to hot and hotter, to 3 months of rain and 9 months with
none.
Thursday,
March 31, 2011 - Several believers in many villages will no doubt
miss the Boll’s presence in
their village lives the next few months and probably years. Pray
that they hold in
their hearts with assurance that God will not forsake them, to
place their complete trust and faith in Him who loves them much.
Seeking God together!
