I
have been in Africa for about two and
a half weeks. I have seen and experienced
many things I would never have anticipated.
I came here with the mind set to expect
the unexpected yet I am still constantly
caught off guard. The people here are
incredibly kind and friendly. I am constantly
greeted everywhere we go. I am still
very saddened though when I see them
praying five times a day to a god who
cannot save them. It seems that things
here are very relational. It can be
tough at times because I only speak
English but I am enjoying meeting all
the new people. It is a sobering thought
to think that the worst day I will ever
have is about a thousand times better
than the best day they will ever have.
You hear about the conditions here but
until you see and experience it, you
never truly know…it is a different
world over here. At the same time the
same God who created us all loves us
and is willing that none should perish.
Pray for these people, they need Jesus
just as much as anyone else in the world.
